Basic Enemies
Common foes found throughout Tenebrous Isle
Gooper
BasicGoopers are gelatinous creatures found across Tenebrous Isle. These slimes are native to the island but have multiplied rapidly as the corruption spread. On their own, a single Gooper poses little threat -- their movements are sluggish and they attack with simple leaps. However, when several of them appear together, they can quickly box you in and overwhelm you with numbers.
Combat Tips
- They creep forward at a leisurely pace and occasionally hop toward you
- Easy to deal with one-on-one, but a cluster of them can quickly become dangerous
- Wide-sweeping weapons like the Nightstar are effective when multiple Goopers group up
- Take them out fast before they have a chance to surround you
Shock Trooper
BasicShock Troopers are the base enemy type that serves as the foundation for the more dangerous Hulk Trooper variant. These electrified soldiers patrol the island and attack with swift, charged strikes. While individually manageable, they become significantly more dangerous when enhanced into their Hulk form.
Combat Tips
- Watch for their charged attack animations
- Burrow to dodge their electric strikes
- They are the base form of the more dangerous Hulk Trooper

- Burrowing can help avoid water-based attacks
- Use ranged weapons like Battery Buster when possible
